excellent food freshly cooked to order, plenty of it aswell we had a good meal between 3 of us. staff are great and couldn't do enough for us, but they weren't interfering. would recommend this place 100%.

Great food and attentive friendly service

This restaurant is under new management. Very friendly staff polite and clean. But the food is no longer the same quality. And my rice arrived cold. And had no colour special fried rice is normally a bit reddish and full of flavour. This time it was really white and didn't look fried at all just had some veg and meats mixed into it not nice at all

The Best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to the food is always great and the way they do the all you can eat style is amazing I've been there a few times now and can never fault the food.

What a shame, used to be regular here but upon my last visit, I was told that it is under new ownership/ management, and the standards are not there anymore. Appalling and poor at best, avoid this place unless you want to waste your money and deal with rude staff members. When it comes to food there are better quality takeaways nearby. NEW OWNERS!! You need help.

Quite expensive but the food has improved massively since new owners took over, that said the menu is a little more restricted than it was before.

Went for my daughters birthday 7 of us, absolutely fabulous staff food and overall experience. So sweet to the birthday girl, patient with our fumbling orders and the food was divine. 1st time visit from us and wont be the last! Thank you !

Food is always amazing but I feel the charge for ice is unbelievable, penny pinching is not cool! Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

Best buffet we have been to in a long time. Freshly cooked and flavourful. We live down south and came to visit our friends.We have not found a place like it. Atmosphere and service was great. Would definitely come back again.

Briliant place super nice staff i would go every week

The business model leaves a lot to be desired. Not taking orders for the mains until every last bit of the starter has been finished is not helpful when you have hungry children at the table. In addition one of the serving staff was not very polite when we appraised them of the situation. The portions are quite small though the food is delicious. Small changes to the business model and better trained staff would go a long way in making this place a true winner.

We ordered from Lai Ling as recommended from a member of our family. However my son is very Fussy about his takeaway chicken meals...but decided to give it a try. He absolutely loved it ! And at this difficult times the service was excellent. Mai the very polite lady I spoke to was so helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Been here a few times and the food has been consistently good. I like that the buffet is brought to you, rather than food sitting on a hot plate all night. You can order as much as you can eat. The crispy beef is a particular favourite. The portion sizes are perfect, so that you can try several dishes without having a massive portion. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The interior could do with a refurb but it's no frills, good food and it's always busy whichever day of the week we visit.

Very expensive for what it is, really. It's reasonable quality food and tasty, to be fair. Not particularly keen on the customer service, lacking friendliness and too much hovering over and around the table.Not sure we would return but it wasnt awful.

If you have hours to spend, than it's a good place for you. We went on a Sunday night for dinner as a family with one child. It was very annoying to see they are bringing very small portions that we would've have to share. By the time we was having every single one a bite, the food was gone. Therefore, you would've need to order again and wait again for the food to be cook. And so on, it's been two hours passed, leaving the place still being hungry. But we couldn't bare no more this game. We didn't embrace at all this way of dinning. I think they should rethink their way of doing business. We're not coming back defo.

Very slow service (but polite) and quite expensive as it is all you can eat and I don't think we really benefited from that. However, the food was really good and worth the wait! Delicious.

The food is overrated and expensive with the lack of quality. The chicken balls in sweet n sour were slimy n inedible, satay chicken skewers were the same n tasted strange, chicken n mushrooms the chicken was horrid!!!! 3 adults, 1 child aged 4, charged £65 n ruined our birthday meal. Staff wouldn't move on the price even though we complained, OUTRAGEOUS!!! Will never go there or order from there again. Service was slower than a snail too. Staff too busy chatting than serving. Worst Chinese restaurant in the country. Please eat elsewhere if u want to eat good food at a reasonable price. £16.90 for a buffet is astronomically expensive.

Lovely food, would go back

12 of us went , the service was very good as was the food. The variety of courses was more than adequate and everyone enjoyed the food , not one complaint. We will definitely go again.

Service was very slow,ordered our starter/drinks as soon as we were seated but took 45 mins to arrive for food and drinks arrived after several requests about 30 mins.It was busy but had 3 waiters and the main front of house person.We have been to this restaurant for many years with both service and food decreasing in both quality, meaning the portions have really reduced in size and the slowness of sevice so wont be rushing back

Food is always freshly cooked to order.

Very busy. 5 people we all ordered our starters they arrived together. When we came to main order it appeared they forgot one of the five. The other 4 had almost finished there course before the fifth person main meal arrived. (They were very very busy) food very taste and served hot. Would recommend and will be going again. If I could give 4 and half I would.

Went to lai ling for the first time with my family and I was not disappointed.The food was delicious and staff very polite and welcoming. I highly recommend people to try this restaurant they won't be disappointed.

A very well managed Chinese restaurant. Two very good menus and a service second to none. You will all enjoy this restaurant.

Initially loved going to "big wok" untill it closed late last year, this place is a great alternative. Slightly more expensive however the food is great, table serve is good and the atmosphere is pretty nice. However, I'd suggest going to this place in lunch / dinner time prior to tea service as the prices get pretty steep then.

Looks the same and the food is magnificent lovely starters to die for I think myself and the family tried everyone then main courses the duck kung post and beef in black bean where beautiful also the chow mien dish wad perfect finally king prawn curry and rice was excellent one last thing you take your drink which made our night even more reasonable thank you for a lovely evening

New owners this time ... but my this place was better than before tasty food.. efficient staff serving and taking orders..

I’d heard horror stories about this place recently but decided to try it for myself. The staff were lovely and the food was great so much to choose from I’m glad I went. Definitely going there again.
